I guess what I'm saying is if you want something to have the compressed sound use a compressor and if you need to have the vocal rider befor it.
In short it controlls the volume like you would at a mixer when a band performs liveĬompressing a sound changes the way it sounds, adjusting volumes dosn't change anything but volume. If they go to shout I pull it down, dropping the volume so everyone isn't blowen out the room or in your case the sound clipps/distorts whatever happens on your stuff when the signal is too loud. By that I meen when the person's voice gets quiet because their moveing away from the mic, I push the volume slider up. To do this: Hit Spacebar to start playback, Grab your fader, pan pot, or plugin knob, and. GATE: allows user to set a gate level that is relative to the TARGET level, to have the gain-rider ignore softer sounds. Each mode allows you to write Automation as you listen to your track. TARGET: sets the rms target of the gain-rider.
The AutoGain Pro MK2 can emulate the behaviour of the original AutoGain.
The plugin uses the same processing code of the AutoGain Pro but doubles the processing units providing two different detectors and two different processors. And you can access them in the field below your Output and Groups: 1. AutoGain Pro MK2 is a flexible volume automation processor with mid/side processing option. I'm a Special events DJ and I find the vocal rider dose what I do when someone unexperinced with a mic is doing a speach. Logic recognizes this need, and provides 3 ways to write Automation. The Vocal Rider seem to be a auto volume control, that's not the a compressor. is this less cpu intensive than doing it with drawn automation the 2. This is just my opinion so just say if you find I'm wrong. Like drawing in automation manually, but its automatic 1 Share Report Save Continue this thread level 1 When I use Waves Vocal Rider or Bass Rider, I’m not able to write the automation on the pre gain track.
